in the quiet moments
when we’re alone
i see you relax
exhale, let go

you are the morning ocean
reaching to me calmly
showing yourself to me
but deep with mystery

you are the night sky
vast, quiet, light, dark
filling every corner of my vision
when i raise my eyes with courage

you are my constant
my companion
my dearest friend

loving you perfectly
knowing you fully
even as you ebb and flow
from dawn to dusk
